Summer Project
The film that I decided to write about is Ender's Game. The key information about the film
Action/sci-fi the setting is in space the reason why this fits in the sci-fi genre and also on another planet ender is linked to the science fiction genre because he is exceedingly intelligent for someone of his age and also has advanced knowledge of battle skills. The narrative themes in this film in alien’s invasion and destruction of planet Earth.
The plot of the film
Here is a
quote from the film its self “when I understand my enemy well enough to defeat him,
then in that moment, I also love him” A.E.Wiggin the Humans fight an alien race
called Formics but a very good commander called
Mazer Rackham was killed when he crashed in to the Formics big ship in the war
which was about 50 years ago
Now they are
training smart children to help fight the future war because that’s the only
way they think they can win.
Probes are
put in to children’s necks to monitor their every move. A boy called Ender had
has removed as a test to see how he copes with rejection. He beat up another
kid because that kid was picking a fight with him because he felt embarrassed (he lost a game) however
Ender retaliated and put that kid on the floor, continually kick him Ender has been
promoted to battle school in space.
He is strategizing
and compromising also he learns very quickly however ender does not like to
take orders from his commanding officer so now he is given the chance to lead
his own grope called the dragons. He wants is to see his sister valentine as he
miss her.
Ender gets that wish, He goes back in to space but he is now
going to command bass near were the aliens home planet is. Now he is up and
looking at the sunrise without knows someone is there. There is a final
simulation was he and his team might grauretion. Ender might be promoted to commander officer
of the imperil fleet .it was a success but there is something wrong it was not
a game it was real and he was lied to.
Ender thinks
he is a killer and now he will bear the shame. He know what the queen wants so
he is going to try to find out the torts of the queen Formics and his dreams all mixed in to
one .so ender walks to the racked ship and finds one of the last queen Formics
and communicates with it and promise to take care of the queens egg which is
the last of their spaces.

WWW- Ella, I am so impressed. You have clearly researched this film in detail and chosen a suitable film to explore in more detail. Some of the conventions you mention clearly link with the study of Science Fiction. Well done.
ReplyDeleteEBI- Sometimes your expression means that sentences are not always as clear as they could be. Make sure you proof read your work.
LR- Now please add a comment with your learner response. Consider WHY the features you picked out fit the science fiction genre: eg you have mentioned battles, space school and simulations. Why are these suitable for the genre?
Also, you mention that it is not as good as the book. Why is this, do you think?
